The Landford Stone Family
Landford Stone is incredibly proud to be a family-run, independent business. There are currently three generations of the same family in the management team at Landford Stone: our founder Molly, her son Clinton and his son, Phil and daughter Rebecca. There are also other family members working within the business, not forgetting the rest of the team who start as employees and swiftly become part of the extended Landford Stone family, enjoying long tenures.
Beyond the friendly faces that you may speak to in the front office or sales team, we have 35 other members of the team from the highly skilled and experienced stone masons, our yard team, our templaters, our fitting team and many others who are instrumental in providing the seamless service and flawless results customers receive from Landford Stone.
We spoke with some team members across the business to find out about their roles and responsibilities and give an insight into daily life here at Landford Stone.
REBECCA
Our office manager Rebecca started at Landford Stone 6 years ago and is now responsible for our office and sales team. When you first get in contact or visit our yard, Rebecca will be on hand to assist with your plans and manage your whole experience, from quote to completion.
“My favourite thing about working at Landford Stone is that we are a relaxed company with friendly staff. I love being able to assist people in choosing their stone and offering my opinion. I also really love working with my family!
My favourite stone is the Kinawa White Granite, it’s made up of a lot of lovely colours and as a natural stone, it’s very beautiful.”
johnny
Johnny is our stone sawyer and uses the CNC machine in our onsite factory. He has been with Landford Stone since April 2004, so coming up to an amazing 20 years!
Johnny cuts all the materials to precise sizes using our digital templating machinery and CAD drawings. He also helps customers choose materials and select which areas to use for projects such as kitchen islands as he has a wealth of experience in helping clients achieve their vision.
“I like working at Landford Stone as it’s a brilliant business, we have great management, and we’re all good friends. We are treated more like family. It is busy and demanding but we strive for excellence together which is nice.
Also, I like working with my hands and being practical. It keeps me fit and I don’t need the gym!”
“My favourite stones are the natural marbles; any white and grey stones are beautiful. I particularly like the Calacatta Gold Marble, which is just classic and timeless.”
phil c
Phil is our Yard Supervisor and has been with us for over 2 years. He helps with unloading deliveries carefully when stones arrive from all over the World. He ensures the yard is tidy and organised. Additionally, Phil helps customers select their stones and brings slabs out for customers to see them in their entirety, this is particularly handy for large projects like worktops.
Phil also does a brilliant job of managing our very popular stone offcuts range.

“My favourite stone is the Kinawa White Granite, I love that the pattern varies depending on where it came out of the ground. It’s fascinating that it is millions and millions of years old.”
AUSTIN
Austin is the newest member of our Sales Team and has been with us 5 months. He enjoys helping customers select the best material for their projects and generating quotes for them.
Austin most enjoys helping people find the stone that will become part of their home and be enjoyed for years to come.
“My favourite stone is the Aurora Fantasy; I like the pattern and colour and I think it’s a very unique piece.”
