Not just for kitchens

There are many other fantastic applications for granite – including bathrooms.

Once professionally sealed, granite is resistant to moisture and its durability makes it an excellent choice for bathroom environments where it can withstand the effects of humidity and frequent use. Granite is perfect for bathroom vanity tops.

It can also be cut to seamlessly incorporate a sink or support bowl sinks, used to create splashbacks, windowsills, upstands and cladding. This same property makes granite less suitable for flooring. It’s non-porous, high polish finish means that it can incredibly slippery when wet. Other natural stones such as marble and limestone are both beautiful and popular alternatives.

Our Process

Landford Stone is there for you from the very beginning to the end of your project. Our highly skilled craftspeople take great care over producing and installing your new granite worktops. There are three key stages to our process:

  • Templating: taking the measurements and creating a pattern for your worktops
  • Fabrication: using a digital template of your worktops, we cut your chosen stone. This drawing is loaded into a state-of-the-art computer-operated saw which cuts the stone exactly to specification. Every project is then hand-finished to perfection.
  • Installation: once your kitchen or bathroom has been installed, we will fit and affix your new worktops
