Transform your home or outside space with stunning, naturally formed limestone.
A hard and durable natural stone that has been used in architecture for centuries. Its soft tones and mottled texture makes it an extremely popular choice throughout homes and is commonly used to tile kitchens, living rooms and hallways. Being a naturally high thermal conductor, limestone flooring is also an ideal choice with underfloor heating.
Most limestones consist of a build-up of skeletal fragments from marine organisms such as coral over millions of years. These skeletal fragments, seen as fossils, are quite often visible on the surface of the stone, adding to the overall beauty and wonder of the material. Though available in a range of finishes, this stone is mostly supplied in a honed finish, as it generally does not accept or retain a high lustre polish.
We offer a classic collection of colours, many of which we stock ready to view at our facility in Landford, Wiltshire. We’re also proud retailers of Ca’ Pietra, a Wiltshire-based stone floor tile supplier. If you’re considering limestone flooring, we recommend visiting us where you speak to our specialists about your project.
Limestone Flooring
Beautiful, practical, exceptionally durable and incredibly versatile.
Its muted earthy tones add sophistication to any space and compliments any decor. Even in areas of heavy traffic such as entrance halls and hallways, limestone flooring will not wear down and will still feel soft to the touch. It is also highly resistant to bacteria and mould, making it perfect for bathrooms, kitchens, and even outdoor spaces. Being a natural conductor that disperses heat efficiently, it also lends itself well to underfloor heating.
We offer a refined collection of classic colours including our popular Jura Beige cream limestone. We can also source a variety of other limestone floor tiles from our flooring supplier Ca’ Pietra.
Not just for flooring
There are many other wonderful applications for limestone – including bathrooms and kitchen worktops.
A luxurious addition to any bathroom. Its soft creamy colouring creates a spa-like, luxurious feel.
Some of the finer grained, more dense limestones are also suitable for kitchen worktops. Before opting for a worktop, end users must be fully informed as to the properties and limitations of this natural stone. Although incredibly durable and hard-wearing, it is reactive to acidic solutions often found in the kitchen, making it much less practical and more difficult to maintain than harder, tougher materials such as granite or quartz. Should you wish to use this stone as a kitchen worktop, please contact us to discuss before proceeding.
