Marble flooring
Marble flooring is a truly breath-taking addition to any home.
It is undeniably one of nature’s most beautiful natural stones and has been used to decorate homes for centuries. Characterised by distinctive marbling, marble is available in a variety of colours ranging from soft creams to purest white and deepest black. It can be striking or subtle, depending on the intensity of the veining, and is a an upscale, luxurious option for interiors.
At Landford Stone, we offer an extraordinary collection of marble colours suitable for kitchen and bathroom flooring. Browse our colours and contact us to see what colours we have available to view in person.
Limestone flooring
Exceptionally durable and incredibly versatile, limestone flooring is both beautiful and practical.
Its muted earthy tones add sophistication to any space and compliments any decor. Even in areas of heavy traffic such as entrance halls and hallways, a limestone floor will not wear down and will still feel soft to the touch. It is also highly resistant to bacteria and mould, making it perfect for bathrooms, kitchens, and even outdoor spaces. Being a natural conductor that disperses heat efficiently, it also lends itself well to underfloor heating.
We offer a refined collection of classic limestone colours including our popular Jura Beige cream limestone. We can also source a variety of other limestone floor tiles from our flooring supplier Ca’ Pietra.
Porcelain floor tiles
Many of the same virtues found with marble and limestone flooring can be achieved with porcelain tiles.
Available in a variety of colours and finishes, porcelain tiles mimic the look and feel of natural stone.
Porcelain tiles are ceramic tiles with a water absorption rate of less than 0.5% making them incredibly practical for flooring and wall cladding. They can either be glazed, unglazed, or even polished. The dense, hard surface of porcelain makes polishing a viable alternative to a glazed surface. This means that a tile can be fired before a polish is cut into the surface, creating a shine without a glaze.
We source our porcelain tiles from Ca’ Pietra; a family business celebrating 30 years of being at the forefront of tile and stone design. If you’re interested in porcelain flooring, contact us today to discuss your project in more detail.
